Lin and I didn't have the pleasure of attending the last get together at the Steinbergers. We had a wonderful 3-week expedition to Colorado and to Lin's family place in the wilds of northern New Mexico. But we hear from Yasmine that it was a wonderful, laid-back gathering, where "Gemütlichkeit" was the number one priority. Many thanks to Leo and Elizabeth for again opening their home, and special thanks to Leo for sweating over the grill to deliver delicious sausages to everyone!
In just over a week we'll have our End of the Season Pool Party at the Daugherty's home in Lantana. Sunday, September 20, 3:00 p.m., bring your swim gear and a healthy appetite for Jeff's masterful barbecuing!
Like all our previous events, please bring your own delectables. Be sure to coordinate with Heidi as soon as possible about attendance and what to bring. Please remember that we also need help with setup and cleanup, so let her know if you are available.
A very helpful event is coming up on October 1st and 2nd. You will be able to renew your Austrian passport at the Houston Consulate on those dates. You can download a copy of the notice from the Generalkonsul in Washington.
