Liebe Freunde, Thanks to Yasmine and Jeff for the delightful afternoon and evening at your beautiful abode for our End of the Season Pool Party. Jeff, you pulled the pork perfectly once again, and the sausage appetizers were just right! Thanks to the culinary contributions of our members, you can always be guaranteed a fabulous meal.
Apropos a fabulous meal, to celebrate our national holiday, Austrian Independence Day, we scheduled our next event with our southern neighbors, the Italian Club. We've always heard wonderful reports about their food, so let's give it a try. This establishment is very convenient and centrally located for most of us.
Chef Melissa will serve a family-style dinner of four courses: appetizers, salad, entreé and dessert. Our price is the same as for an Italian Club member, $28. For an entreé only, the cost is $20. Beverages (Italian wine and beer, sodas, etc.) can be purchased separately at the bar, and we will have a cozy, private corner.
We need to give them a head count no later than Tuesday morning. Please let Heidi know whether or not you will attend by Monday evening.
