Liebe Freunde,
It is said when you have a good time, time passes quickly. We certainly
had a great time with our hosts - the wonderful Katzers - at the
Faschings Party. The company was delightful, and was even graced
by the presence of Mozart and Beethoven! Kudos to Kathy Knappitsch
for coming up with beautiful, elaborate, period costumes. They
definitely deserved the prize they won, and it is an inspiration for us all
to get more inventive next year.
On to our next get-together, the Easter Scavenger Hunt. It will be our
first visit to the home of Franz and Kathy Knappitsch. Lin and I have
had the privilege of being there several times, and they have a
wonderful outdoor setting that with lots of nooks and crannies for hiding
things. We’ve had some great scavenger hunts, and this one promises
to have something for kids of all ages, in a beautiful setting.
The club will provide ham and all the drinks, and as usual, your Austrian
culinary efforts for the rest of the food will be much appreciated.
Be sure to coordinate with Heidi as soon as possible about what to
bring..
Remember, we need help with setup and cleanup, so let Petra know if
you are available.
Also, for this event, we are sending information via the club’s Hotmail
account AND using our newsletter service, Mailchimp. For the next
