Weihnachtsfeier mit St. Nikolaus & Krampus

Updated: Mar 5, 2019

The annual Austrian Club Weihnachtsfeier will again be at the Grunbaum's on Sunday, December 9, starting at 4:00 p.m.

St. Nikolaus is again making a special, late visit to our Weihnachtsfeier and will be there with his helper, Krampus, at 5:00 p.m.  As always, St. Nikolaus will reveal the naughty and the nice about our precious children. #nicolaus #krampus #christmas

Feasting & Fun

Following this emotional trial, we'll have our typically sumptuous Christmas feast, crowned by Chef Heinz Prasts's Ragoût.  There will be plenty of Glühwein on hand, along with all the regular libations.  All you need to add are your authentic Austrian delicacies:  appetizers, salads, side-dishes and most importantly, desserts! (Apfelstrudel, anyone?).  We need more folding chairs, so if you can, please add that to the items you bring. It would be much appreciated, if you could RSVP by December 3. #ragout

As usual following the meal, we will have a Christmas program, directed by Lin.  As always, several members will contribute to the program:  Kathy Knappitsch on piano, Rudy Moras on violin, young vocalist, Clara Hiesberger, and opera singer, Tamora Wood. In addition, Lin's long-time friends and musical allies, Eric & Laura Rothe will be on hand with guitar, mandolin and their lovely voices too.

Finally, topping off this whole event will be all the fabulous desserts, along with coffee (and even a little Schnapps).

We look forward to seeing you in our abode, and greeting you with a big warm hug!

Nationalfeier at the Bavarian Grill was a success!

The food that we sampled was tasty and the company was intimate and lively.  The turnout was amazing!  We are looking forward to it again next year, around October 26. #austrian #nationalday
